The Holosun Paralow HS503G Red Dot Sight is a joint design from Primary Arms and Holosun, one of the largest optics manufacturers in the world. What’s innovative is that it uses PA’s ACSS CQB reticle in a red dot sight. Why does this matter? Big Red dot sights are great up close but less useful at distances beyond 100 yards. Essentially at longer distances the dot becomes too large to aim with precision. It ends up covering the whole target so you really can’t get a bead on what you’re aiming for. The solution at a longer distance is a small dot used in combination with a magnifier. However that equation might be slower going if you’re acquiring a target at close range. The ACSS reticle solves the problem by using a large chevron that the eye easily picks up for close shooting. (At longer distances, you can use the tip of the chevron as an aim point perfect for precise shots).

Using “zero” ranges of 25, 50, or 100 yards, the ACSS BDC is compatible with the following calibers:

• 300 BLK / 7.62×39 from 50 to 450 yards
• 12 gauge 1 oz. slug from 25 to 150 yards
• 7.62x54R from 100 to 600 yards
• 7.62 NATO / .308 Win from 100 to 600 yards
• 300 BLK 220 gr subsonic from 50 to 150 yards
• .22LR 40 gr from 50 to 175 yards
• 9mm carbine 115gr from 25 to 200 yards

The whole idea behind the Ultimak M1-B system is to provide a low which allows you to use either an optic or iron sights. I’ve used this product on my own AKs and can’t say enough good things about it. It’s low so you’ll be able to co-witness and use use your optic without a comb riser.

It replaces the original steel gas tube and upper handguard, adding less than one ounce to the weight of the rifle. It’s by the lightest optic mount installationon the market. The forward positioning of the optic gives makes it easy to use while maintaining your full field of view.

The Primary Arms 1X Compact Prism Scope is one of the best, inexpensive AK optics on the market. What makes it a great choice is the with ACSS Cyclops reticle, which is designed by PA by Dimitri Mikroulis. It combines the flexibility of an etched reticle with the speed and simplicity of a red dot. Unlike many prism optics, the 1X Compact Prism Scope offers generous 3.7 inches of eye relief. This combined with a large (13mm exit pupil) provides an exceptionally forgiving eye box. This allows the operator a large degree of efficiency in red dot-style shooting. You can keep both eyes open for fast target acquisition in a variety of situations. The 1X Compact Prism Scope’s includes a removable 1913 MIL STD Picatinny rail mount. The scope body is compatible with standard microdot mounts.
